Prayer Scriptures
Jason Hopkins
Philippians 4:6-7
6Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:8
8Don't be like them, because your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!
Psalm 50:14-15
14 What I want instead is your true thanks to God; I want you to fulfill your vows to the Most High. 15 Trust me in your times of trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory."
Revelations 3:16-17
16But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17You say, `I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.
Romans 8:26-27
26And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will.
Luke 18:1
1One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must never give up.
Matthew 6:7
"When you pray, don't babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered only by repeating their words again and again.
Exodus 33:11
11Inside the Tent of Meeting, the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, stayed behind in the Tent of Meeting
Isaiah 59:1-2
1Listen! The LORD is not too weak to save you, and he is not becoming deaf. He can hear you when you call. 2But there is a problem--your sins have cut you off from God. Because of your sin, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.
Psalm 66:18
If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, my Lord would not have listened.
